Licensed in North Carolina, Kentucky, Georgia, and Tennessee, Thomas W. Pleasant focuses on catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, primarily in the medical and nursing home negligence arena, including birth and brain injury cases.
Mr. Pleasant holds a Lexis Martindale-Hubbell "AV Preeminent" peer rating, bestowed by his colleagues, judges who have presided over his trials, and adversary attorneys representing some of the largest health care providers in the nation. He has also been elected to Super Lawyers®, a rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Mr. Pleasant has substantial jury trial experience, including medical trials, and is committed to trying cases where necessary to achieve a fair result for his clients. Recently Mr. Pleasant and Mr. Holoman secured the highest jury verdict in the history of Ashe County, North Carolina for a medical malpractice trial.
